About The Global Peace Foundation Nepal

The Global Peace Foundation Nepal (GPF Nepal) is a non-religious, non-political social organization dedicated to the realization of peace, prosperity, and sustainable development through the strategic cultivation of human capital. Operating on the core belief that national stability is rooted in the “inner architecture” of its citizens, GPF Nepal focuses on Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and moral leadership as the primary engines for social cohesion. By transitioning the development paradigm from traditional aid to “self-help” and self-sustainability, the organization empowers individuals to move beyond the role of passive beneficiaries toward becoming active architects of their own communities. This approach treats peacebuilding not as a static goal, but as a dynamic process fostered through a universal “culture of service” that transcends religious and political boundaries.

At the heart of the organization’s methodology is an interconnected ecosystem of development where physical resilience and social-emotional growth are treated as interdependent. GPF Nepal recognizes that a student’s success in character education is fundamentally tied to the health of their home environment and the stability of their community. This is why the organization integrates diverse thematic areas, ranging from Youth and Women Empowerment to WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), Environmental Stewardship, Transforming Education and Community Development, into a single, cohesive framework. By addressing physical gatekeepers such as menstrual hygiene, respiratory health via clean cookstoves, and trauma relief following national crises, GPF Nepal creates the necessary bandwidth for marginalized groups to engage in leadership development and nation-building initiatives.

The efficacy of GPF Nepal’s interventions is best demonstrated by the “multiplier effect” of its leadership programs. Rather than focusing solely on broad-spectrum aid, the organization invests heavily in the capacity building of youth and women, equipping them with the ethical mindset, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills required for social entrepreneurship and civic responsibility. This strategy has proven highly efficient; for instance, a small cohort of trained fellows can catalyze change for thousands of community members through peer-led service projects. By aligning these efforts with the Government of Nepal’s goals for good governance and social justice, GPF Nepal fosters a resilient civic fabric where trust and social cohesion serve as the foundation for long-term economic growth and national unity.

Through strategic collaborations with government bodies, the private sector, and international donors, GPF Nepal has reached over 56,000 individuals, transforming grassroots challenges into scalable opportunities for national unity and progress.
